Five Rainbows

[Anyone entering the Malt Shop this afternoon may notice something veeeeery off about a couple of patrons sitting at the counter. While Rin doesn't look at all out of place, this is a hangout for teenagers after all, something's strange about her companion awkwardly sitting down next to her.

Aside from the atrocious fashion sense, Rainbow Dash's tail is clearly sticking out from underneath the pink polka-dotted dress that Rin fitted her with. Never mind the dress itself barely fits, as her wings are awkwardly stuffed in the dress and making it look bulkier then it should. The gloves are kinda taped on to give the impression of human fingers instead of hooves.

Don't ask how they got the boots on. Don't ask.

Also that brightly colored biker helmet that's kind of covering Dash's face? That was completely Dash's idea. Hey, she had to have something cool about this ridiculous human getup.

The drone running the shop fixes them with an odd, almost suspicious look. The silence is unnerving as he looks Rainbow Dash over, and it lasts a couple minutes before the drone speaks up.]

And what would you kids like to eat?

[And Dash immediately jumps in to order first. She's so excited about being here right now.]

Got any grass sandwiches? I'm starving!

[Rin sharply elbows Dash, whispering to her.]

Pssst...humans don't eat grass! ♪

Well what the hay do they eat then?

Umm...meat? ♪

W-what really?! Humans are so gross!!

Shhh stop that or you'll blow our cover! ♪

[And then Rin will turn to the drone, who is now looking incredibly suspicious at them both.]

We'll have milkshakes! And fries! ♪

[The drone looks like he's about to say something, or go for the broom, before finally turning away to take their order. Both Rin and Rainbow Dash just let out a sigh as this ridiculous plan actually managed to work.

[And the drone does bring back their shakes and fries, but he doesn't actually leave when gives them their food.]

[The chime on the door rings as it opens to a boy carrying an empty mailbag. He'll sit himself a little ways down the counter and order a chocolate milkshake. ...He'll glance to the side when he's done.]

Oh, hi, Rin.

[Dash looks a little surprised Lucas was able to notice her so quickly, but then again she notices her tail sticking out...

She quickly regains her composure.]

This is not Rainbow Dash, it's cousin Betty. From out of town!! ♪

[she exclaims loudly to dispel ALL SUSPICIONS from the drones, then whispers to Dash]

looking at the pony trying to figure out what's going on when it dawns on him. He lives with Twilight Sparkle, after all, and knows how the drones view animals in this town. He sits down at the table and leans close to Rainbow Dash, speaking in a hushed town.]

[Mika huffs as she limps up to the counter a little way away from them. Her sensitive hearing made it easier to pick up the conversation as she came in the door.]

Looks like you're going to need to find a costumer if you two plan on doing this often.

The helmet? Just fine. But I think I'd be more concerned about the rest of it. It doesn't exactly match well.

[Applejack is walking along when something catches her eye through the window of the malt shop. Something rainbow colored and trying to be hid under a polka dotted skirt of some sort.

She moves to the window to confirm her suspicions, and sure enough, that's Dash under all those clothes. Applejack practically has her muzzled pressed against the glass trying to see what this is all about...]

What is that filly up to now? This another one of her pranks?

[No pranks this time, just Rainbow Dash trying out a brilliant plan. But Dash turns around to notice Applejack in the window and nudges Rin. She's going to leave a bit to go see Applejack.]

[The pony in the window was kind of obvious. SO CUTE but Rin guesses she has to save Dash's spot... so she'll stay put for now, poking absently at the shakes]

[Seeing that Dash is coming outside, Applejack pulls back from the window, which is probably a good idea as some of the drones have also noticed her there...

Once Rainbow is outside, Applejack just stares a few moments as she tries to figure out just WHAT to say.]
